SweepsU.com is an online sweepstaking newsletter and organizer that is currently under construction. We made our first public appearance at the 20th Annual National Sweepstakes Convention in Manchester, NH in July of 2009 when we took applications for the first round of closed beta testers.

We ARE currently accepting beta applications.

The anticipated production launch date for SweepsU.com is the first quarter of 2010.

What is sweepstaking?

For those who may not be familiar with this hobby, we thought we'd take a moment to explain.

On the face of it, it's probably obvious that it is the entering of sweepstakes. However, a few things that are not obvious:

•Along with a wide variety of random drawing type sweepstakes, there are also skill contests such as writing, video production, cooking and much much more.

•There is a very large community of individuals who participate in sweepstaking as a hobby on a regular basis. There is also an informal organization that assists in organizing annual national conventions.

•Sweepstakers span the entire spectrum of age, from pre-teen to individuals in their 90s.

•The sheer number of sweepstakes and contests running at any given time is astronomical. In the 10s of thousands for the US alone.

•There are those who have won 17 vehicles (current record for single individual), others have won an island, many have won houses, trips, cash, electronics, etc.

•This is a hobby; most sweepstakers hold full-time jobs, are retirees, stay-at-home moms, students, etc and just spend as much of their spare time as they see fit.

•Sweepstakers are consumers and make a point of purchasing and supporting the product sponsors who provide them with this phenomenal hobby.

What is a sweepstaking newsletter?

The most important tool for any sweepstaker is a good newsletter. It provides the information that is necessary for sweepstakers to find and enter promotions they would not have known about otherwise. Listed below are a few of the items you will find at SweepsU.com

•A listing of current sweepstakes and skill contests with the necessary information for entering.

•Sweeps Management System - a program that allows you to organize your sweepstakes and enter more in less time.

•Articles on subjects of interest to sweepstakers that will provide information and insight into the different aspects of the hobby.

•Blogs and articles from your editors, and industry and hobby personalities.

•Forums where new sweepstakers can ask questions and all sweepers can communicate directly with each other.

•A community that allows sweepers to get to know each other on a new, more personal level.
